What a lucky kid. You sound like a great dad! I have a one year old and you are making me think about the kind of parent I want to be. Thanks for sharing!
"sleepstorylistener" - obsessed with this....and your entire piece in general.
As being a mother is my top goal in life, I really enjoyed reading this piece - sprinkled with honestly, joy, lightness - but also the realities of the intention that must be applied to parenthood (I can imagine).
This was a great piece to read. So relatable and made me laugh in some parts but those values you're teaching your son are so clear and intentional. Amazing!
Zeeshaan, I love this tender peak at the intimacy of your fathering. "I get five more minutes before he starts to gently pet my cheek." And man does this bring back memories of thousands of stories told at nap time and bedtime over many years as a parent. The recurring characters was also the theme. Dad on my friend.
I want to be a "sleepstorylistener" as well!
Happy to narrate bedtime stories to anyone who asks.

Thank you amber! I like to hear that:D
Love reading stories like this. Ness is either going to love or hate this out of embarrassment when he reads it in a few years haha
Hahahaha I'm going to show his girlfriends/boyfriends the jumping gif so they know his true self.

Those values sing through this piece. And that “jump jump jump” looks great fun!
It is! I tried it too when no toddlers were waiting in line.
The above is a manifesto to a fulfilling life; and the ideal upbringing for kids. Loved it
Thanks ankur!

You are parenting a generation that I will be proud to call leader 40 years from now.
That's kind of you to say!
As I’m about to embark on motherhood, I can’t tell you how much I love reading this!
